Motor Step Down
Converts the speed of a TT motor to the walking speed of the average 20-29yr old man.
Objective Reasoning: Analyzes the relationship between a motor output and walking speed by turning average human walking speed into a mechanical speed requirement in a Fusion360 simulated environment. Based on the circumference of the wheel modeled, miles per hour gets converted into centimeters per minute and subsequently the revolutions per minute required by the wheel. A gear ratio gets extrapolated from this information and then visualized within Fusion360 using joint motion tools. Robotic systems translate real world performance specifications into mechanical specifications for actuators. This project mimics that process by turning theoretical calculations into a simulated mechanical design.
